Founder & Principal Advisor

Founded by Jamie Oakley, Hospitality Reset combines real-world hospitality leadership experience with a growing network of operators, trainers, advisors, and specialists across hospitality disciplines.

Jamie has spent more than two decades inside hotels, resorts, events, and hospitality operations — from front desks in Las Vegas to luxury resort sales, global meetings, experiential programs, and enterprise hospitality strategy.

His career spans luxury hospitality, destination marketing, corporate events, experiential programs, and operational leadership across brands, agencies, and global clients.

After years of watching hospitality teams burn out while expectations kept rising, Jamie founded Hospitality Reset as both a conversation and a platform — helping hospitality leaders reconnect culture, service, leadership, and operational reality.

Today, Hospitality Reset works with hotels, resorts, and hospitality groups through advisory engagements, operational reviews, leadership programs, and culture-focused training — delivered by Jamie and the broader Hospitality Reset network.

Built Around the Right Expertise

A platform, not a single voice.

Depending on the needs of the property, Hospitality Reset may engage hospitality specialists across operations, guest experience, sales, leadership development, training, food & beverage, culture, and service recovery.

Every engagement is shaped around the property — not packaged into a fixed deliverable. Jamie leads each engagement personally as Principal Advisor, with additional specialists brought in when the work calls for it.

  • Operations & front office
  • Guest experience & service recovery
  • Sales & commercial leadership
  • Leadership development
  • Training & facilitation
  • Food & beverage
  • Culture & communication
  • Property advisory support

Where Hospitality Reset helps properties improve

    Guest experience and service culture

    Burnout and team communication

    Leadership presence and accountability

    Training teams actually remember

    Secret shopper and operational audits

    Frontline hospitality performance

    Event and experiential hospitality strategy

Philosophy

"Treat your team the way you want them to treat your guests. Then watch what happens."

"An SOP is only as alive as the people who believe in it."

"Burnout isn't weakness. It's a signal that the operating model needs the work."

Practitioner note

Built from years inside operational hospitality environments — front desks, luxury floors, experiential programs, sales offices, and the leadership rooms between them. Written from the pressure points between service and operations, not from a distance.

Operational rotation

Used quietly, on property.

Anonymized by design. The editions are positioned as an emerging operational publishing house — implementation-ready, partnership-ready, and honest about where it is.

  • 01

In rotation at independent and boutique properties.

  • 02

Used during stand-ups, debriefs, and post-incident recovery reviews.

  • 03

Referenced by operational leaders managing high-pressure guest environments.

  • 04

    Installed operationally through partnership engagements.

Three ways to begin

Choose the entry point that fits the property.

Most operators start in one of three places — the field guides, a consultation, or a property licensing conversation. Each one is a door into the same ecosystem.
